The new rail-container service is an interesting alternative to air and sea freight due to its relatively low cost factor and a comparatively short transit time.
Since 2015, BTG (Bavaria Transport Group) has therefore been offering its customers in Russia, Europe, China and the CIS states complex solutions for all aspects of rail transport. In September 2015, in a festive atmosphere, with the participation of the mayor of Lanzhou, senior employees of Sinotrans, the largest Chinese logistics company and a long-standing partner of BTG, the first block train with 45 containers was set off from Lanzhou to Hamburg. The transit time is only 14 days in both directions.
This service has been in such great demand that weekly departures from Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Zhengzhou to Moscow, Hamburg and Duisburg (and back) are now available to our customers with a transit time of no more than 13-15 days.
